Support Iowa Central Students to Study Abroad

Jennifer Dutcher sells artwork to fundraise and help students study abroad

The Iowa Central students started a fundraiser to cover the cost of their college trip in June 2023. The students plan to travel to Amsterdam and Paris for 8 days, to visit emblematic places of both cities like the Royal Palace, Anne Frank’s House, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, Versailles, and others.

The idea was proposed by the Coordinator of the Art Department Jennifer Dutcher because she loves to travel and thinks that it is a good idea to offer this kind of opportunity to students who maybe do not want to travel alone out of fear, and these types of experiences can do that.
This is not the first time that Dutcher has been planning for students to study abroad. She traveled before with Iowa Central students in 2017.

Dutcher will be at Greehey Building on Dec. 15 selling gift tags, hand painted, and digital prints made by the students to collect money for the trip.
The students will create a portfolio with photography and a narrative about the places that they will visit.

If you want to support the students, you can also contact Dutcher through email dutcher_j@iowacentral.edu
