Tonic Sol-fa performs at Iowa Central Community College

Tonic Sol Fa

On March 7th, the vocal group Tonic Sol-fa paid Iowa Central a visit, performing a free show in Decker Auditorium. Both students and members of the community came to watch them sing their own arrangement of classic songs, as well as a few original works. Hailing from Minnesota, the group is comprised of founding members Shaun Johnson, Greg Bannwarth, and Jared Dove. The group offered a diverse set, implementing elements of soul as well as including percussion instruments in certain songs. The group brought energy to the stage as well as vocal talent that was both engaging and fun.

The group is currently on tour in the Midwest as they record their new album called “Original.” Performing to over a hundred crowds annually across the nation, the group certainly holds their own. You can find them online at http://www.tonicsolfa.com/ to learn more about the group, buy merchandise, explore their work, and see where they are going to perform next.
